April...

Well, April definitely flew by for me...

I think I did a lot but then again, maybe I didn't...

Let me look back on what I did do from my scheduler.

Well, from the end of March to the 2nd of April, I was in Amagasaki city to attend my Aunt's third memorial service and spend some time with my cousin (younger sister) and her new born baby boy (my nephew). It was really good to spend time with family since I was feeling a little down then. My "nephew", Hayato, is adorable!! I can't wait to see him again this Fall!!

I went out a lot with many of my good friends for shopping and for dinner.
I went out for dinner (birthdays and just having fun) a total of 9 times this month!! Wow...

Watched 2 movies finally too!! I hadn't gone to the theaters since last year... I watched "Ironman 3" and "Library Wars" (Japanese movie starring my love, Junichi Okada). Both movies were great!! Definitely getting the Blu-rays when they come out.

Two good friends and I went to Disney Sea too!! Luckily, from April to early July, people living in Tokyo can buy tickets at a discounted rate. So, we are hoping to go again in June to either Disney Land or Sea.  But if we go to Sea again, we are definitely going on the new "Toy Story Mania" twice. It was really really fun!!

I also went to a K-pop concert at Tokyo Dome. The group is called "2PM" and I got to go for free!! I was so lucky!!  Plus I had a great time!!

By chance, I learned about "enzymes" created by fermenting organic vegetables, fruits and grains and how it helps to clean out and maintain a healthy intestinal track.  This is important because this is where clean blood is created and a strong immune system is built. I hope to incorporate this into my daily diet and try a monthly 3 day fast in addition to my physio treatments. Also, I had bought some diet food (a kind of jelly or pudding dish) so I try to eat that as a meal replacement once every two days. Let's see what'll happen to me 6 months from now!!

Finally, my Korean lessons. Only had 3 this month since my language exchange partner is quite busy with her job hunting. This made me become a bit lazy so I didn't learn much... But the last two lessons were on cooking phrases so it was really interesting and fun for me. Now I can make out what's written in the cook book I had gotten during my last trip to Korea. I hope I can cook more of the dishes since they are all low calorie dishes!!

So that's about it for April. Nothing too exciting but looking back, quite a lot did actually happen. Wow!!

Now, it's May... Have a friend visiting from Canada and will be visiting her hometown Hirosaki city in Aomori as well as Kakunodate city in Akita. We'll also just chill, catch up, go eat some good food and catch a few movies. Other than that, I'll probably go on a yakatabune cruise with some friends and probably have to cook for them... Have my language exchange classes and my privates. Other than that, just working... Well, it's only the 1st today so let's just sit back and see how things turn out.

Physio 5

So I went for my monthly treatment and it was terrible again...

This time was different from last.

Last time, I had drunk a lot and stayed out very late the day before the treatment so my body was bloated and tired.
But this time, my body was bloated and very stiff. I have to be honest, this month, April, I went out to eat a lot, I didn't make many lunch boxes and (sorry...) had poor bowel movements... I don't know why though...

I spoke to my therapist and she said it had to do with the poor circulation within my body. That's regarding blood and fluids. As a result, I'm bloated and constipated... YUCK!!

I had a lot of fun in April. I went out a lot and ate a lot of good food too... But I didn't have a balanced amount of water or "exercise"...

Just by chance I had met up with one of my friend's wife who had started to add enzyme to her daily diet. This enzyme is created by fermenting a variety of vegetables, fruits, and grains. It's all natural and very necessary for the intestines to work properly. She said that over the past few months it's done wonders to her body and now she feel much healthier and much more energetic. That is what I need!!

So, I will meet with her friend who is a Life Counselor who specializes in working with people to help rebuild their way of life and health.

I give myself a 6 month time frame to get my body straightened out.

Keep an eye on me!!

Spring in Japan

Spring in Japan can be nice and uncomfortable.

Uncomfortable because it's "hay-fever season" here.
Many people suffer from cedar and cypress pollen allergy here.

After World War 2, Japan started to replant their forests to rebuild the country and their economy. Cedar and cypress trees where chosen for their speed in growth and their usefulness. So when the first batch of planted trees grew to their full height in the early 1960's, they started to release their pollen and that's when "cedar pollen allergy" started in Japan. Since then, many people have developed hay-fever and suffer from it from February to April or May.

I for one, coming from Canada, didn't have such an allergy but after living here for over 10 years, I finally succumbed to it and started to have an allergic reaction to the pollen from about three years ago... I seem to be more allergic to cypress than cedar though.

But what I am allergic to, even when in Canada, are flowers...
And a variety of them bloom during this season in Japan.
To start with, plum blossoms, then peach blossoms, and then cherry blossoms. Also, camellias, peonies, daffodils, daisies, pansies, to name a few... All beautiful to look at but deadly for me...

So honestly speaking, I don't like Spring in Japan...
I have to take allergy pills almost every day...

In the Fall, I have hay-fever again which is caused by ragweed and rice husk...

So twice a year I suffer...
Plus I have certain food allergies too...
Sucks...

Well, it's April now and the tree pollen allergy season is almost over. The cherry blossoms have almost all fallen so my allergies are calming down. The fleeting moments of Spring in Japan...

Next, a month or two of mild weather and then comes the Rainy Season...
Blah....
Then the hot and humid summer...

Let's take things one step at a time, eh?! Lol!!
